Introducing the Ultimate SA YA Book Box
August is a big month for me. Not only is it my birthday (hint, hint), I’m also celebrating Mine’s sixth month on the shelves.
To mark the occasion, and to celebrate local fiction as a whole, I’ve put together the Ultimate SA YA Book Box for charity.
What’s inside?
- A selection of recently published South African YA books (including a signed copy of Mine)
- Treats to enjoy while you read
- Bonus goodies (hint: I’ve included some of my absolute favourite things)
This curated collection of South African youth fiction is the perfect gift for the teen reader in your life or anyone with a taste for local fiction.
Plus, it’s great value for money. Just look at how many books are included in each box!
The boxes are super limited edition and only ten are available.
The price is R400 including postage or delivery if you’re in Cape Town.
The proceeds of the boxes will go to Nazareth House, a home of compassion run by the sisters of Nazareth. The sisters provide both short and long-term care to disabled orphans, orphans affected by Aids and vulnerable children. Incredibly, the sisters also care for the elderly and frail.
I try my best to give something every year, whether it’s books (the sisters take part in the Cavendish Charity Book Sale), toiletries or blankets. This year, I decided to do something different.
I’d like to extend a huge thank you to sponsors NB Publishers, Cover2Cover Books and Nomu for generously contributing to the content of these boxes.
