I’ve been to my fair share of literary dinners. The recipe is simple: good food, good wine, good company. You can’t go wrong. Plus, guests always have one topic of conversation in mind: books!

Hosting our own bespoke dinner evening is something one of my closest friends and I have been talking about for a very long time. We love entertaining, we love cooking (and eating!) and we love books. So finally, after many, many discussions over many a glass of wine or G&T, we’re taking the plunge with our own literary dinner featuring a very special author.

Our first guest will be none other than South African author Mary Watson, who will be in Cape Town to promote her bewitching new novel, The Wren Hunt, which blew us both away.

To celebrate this enchanting novel, we’ve conceptualised a deliciously magical menu,  paired with local wines, which we’ll all enjoy together while Mary chats to us about her wonderful novel.

It’s going to be a really special evening.
