My little love story has come a long way. Since being published in February last year, Mine has appeared on the Exclusive Books Homebru list and won the MER Prize for Youth Fiction. Most recently, it has been nominated for a South African Literary Award (SALA) in the youth literature category.
They say no news is good news, but good news is always worth shouting about. Thankfully I do have some lovely news to share.
The Outcast Hours, a brand-new anthology edited by Jared Shurin and Mahvesh Murad, officially releases worldwide this week. (Jared and Mahvesh are the dynamic duo behind the highly acclaimed The Djinn Falls in Love and Other Stories. Read my review here.)

Firstly, let me just say this is a blinder of a book.
The last time I tackled a major fantasy saga was in my teens, so I was quite excited to get stuck into this one. I was sent a copy of this beast to read in preparation for my Q&A with Raymond E Feist at his Exclusive Books launch in Cape Town. (Thank you Jonathan Ball!)
My fifth novel, Mine, has been on the shelves for five months exactly (it was published to coincide with Valentine’s Day.) It’s a love story set in Cape Town, but I was totally unprepared for how much love it has received from readers.
This morning I had a pinch-me moment. The May edition of Fair Lady magazine hit newsstands featuring a four-page profile of yours truly and a photo of the cutest squirrel in the world.
